Introducing ‘Grit by Design’, a Design & Business Podcast for Gritty Entrepreneurs
There’s a bit of that “Christmas morning” vibe happening around here at Acampora Interiors this week (although I’ll admit we feel that same level of excitement right before installation days, too). Today, I am thrilled to introduce Grit by Design, the podcast where aesthetics and entrepreneurship collide. There is no more fitting day than today, International Women’s Day, to kick off this exciting new project.
What is Grit by Design?
In my role as an interior designer, it’s my mission to help clients discover a style that feels authentic to them. I approach each project by getting to the core of their personal aesthetic, lifestyle, and goals. Grit by Design is a design and business podcast to help listeners do just that: discover what feels authentic to them so they can build their own success.
In each episode, I’ll go one-on-one with leaders from a variety of industries — although there’s certainly no shortage of gritty entrepreneurs in the world of design — to offer perspectives on growing, scaling, and evolving in an ever-changing landscape. My objective is for anyone who’s looking for motivation in their daily work to walk away from the podcast with tactical steps and practical advice to uncover what inspires them, and help them find their grit.
The Inspiration Behind the Podcast
As a designer, my job is to make spaces the most beautiful and functional they can possibly be, but the irony is that the process to get to that breathtaking reveal day is oftentimes paved with truly unglamourous, blood-sweat-and-tears kind of work. Being an entrepreneur means being unafraid to roll up my sleeves and get a little gritty to meet whatever challenges arise.
As a business owner, it’s my responsibility to build a company that helps my team achieve our vision: helping our clients feel like the best versions of themselves in their homes. It’s also my responsibility to create an environment where my team feels inspired, motivated, and challenged (in the right ways), while simultaneously creating a machine that operates smoothly, that is capable of adapting and evolving, and most importantly, is capable of scaling to meet our clients’ needs.
We have an exciting lineup of guests planned in the coming weeks and months. I hope you’ll join me in sitting down with industry leaders — women and men alike — who are leaning into inventive thinking in order to evolve and adapt in an ever-changing business landscape. There are takeaways for us all to glean from their success stories, and I look forward to uncovering these inspiring tales each week.
